Our clients conducting genome wide association studies, chromosome copy number studies, linkage analyses, and
population genetic studies generally interrogate from 50,000 - 1 million SNPs per sample. For these applications, SolGent
offers genotyping services based on the Affymetrix GeneChip® System, using a choice of 25-mer probe length microarrays
Expression Analysis Service
SolGent is among the most experienced organizations with respect to gene expression data generation using the
Affymetrix GeneChip® platform. Customers can choose to run any commercially available Affymetrix GeneChip®
expression array including human, animal and plant expression assays.
Custom Chip Service
After conducting whole genome analyses, researchers generally hone in on genes of interest in specific individuals.
Typical fine-mapping applications include SNP analysis, loss of heterozygosity studies, and chromosome copy number
studies. For these projects, SolGent offers the following genotyping services: Affymetrix GeneChip® Scanner 3000 7G
MegAllele System, using MIP (molecular inversion probes). MIP is an innovative assay technology that addresses the
challenges of a targeted approach by offering flexible multiplexing from 1,500 to 20,000 SNPs per individual assay, the
highest level of multiplexing commercially available. DMET™ Plus : Interrogates 1,936 SNPs associated with 225 drug
metabolism enzyme and transport genes.
